Security Settings

Manage your password and account security


Keep your Scripter account secure with strong passwords and security best practices.

Password Management

Changing Your Password

Click Account in the sidebar.

Go to Security Section

Select the Security or Profile tab (depending on implementation).

Enter Current Password

Verify your identity with your current password.

Enter New Password

Choose a strong, unique password.

Confirm Change

Save your new password.

Password Requirements

Create secure passwords:

  • Minimum length: 8 characters
  • Recommended: 12+ characters
  • Include: Mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Avoid: Common words, personal information, reused passwords

Never share your password with anyone, including support staff. Scripter will never ask for your password.

Password Best Practices

Use a Password Manager

  • Generates strong, unique passwords
  • Stores passwords securely
  • Auto-fills login forms
  • Recommended: 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass

Enable Browser Password Storage

Modern browsers offer secure password storage:

  • Chrome: Google Password Manager
  • Safari: iCloud Keychain
  • Firefox: Firefox Lockwise

Avoid Password Reuse

Don't use your Scripter password on other sites. If one service is compromised, all accounts using that password are at risk.

Regular Updates

Change your password periodically, especially if:

  • You suspect unauthorized access
  • You've shared your password accidentally
  • A data breach affects another service you use

Account Security Features

Email Verification

Your email address is verified during signup and used for:

  • Password reset requests
  • Account notifications
  • Security alerts

Keep your email secure:

  • Use a strong email password
  • Enable two-factor authentication on your email
  • Don't share email access

Session Management

Scripter maintains secure sessions:

  • Automatic logout after period of inactivity
  • Secure session tokens
  • Protection against session hijacking

Two-Factor Authentication

Coming in Phase 2

Enhanced security with 2FA:

  • Require second verification factor
  • SMS, authenticator app, or security key
  • Protects against password compromise

Security Recommendations

Use Secure Connections

  • Always access Scripter via HTTPS (https://app.scripter.au)
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi without VPN
  • Ensure your browser is up-to-date

Be Alert for Phishing

Watch for suspicious emails:

  • Check sender address carefully
  • Don't click links in unexpected emails
  • Type app.scripter.au directly into browser
  • Report suspicious emails to info@scripter.au

Keep Software Updated

  • Update your browser regularly
  • Enable automatic OS security updates
  • Use current antivirus software

Monitor Account Activity

Review your account for:

  • Unexpected prescriptions
  • Unknown profile changes
  • Unfamiliar activity

Report suspicious activity to info@scripter.au immediately.

If Your Account is Compromised

Take immediate action if you suspect unauthorized access:

Change Your Password

Use the password reset feature immediately.

Review Recent Activity

Check for unauthorized prescriptions or profile changes.

Contact Support

Email info@scripter.au with details:

  • When you noticed the issue
  • What unauthorized activity you observed
  • Any relevant screenshots

Secure Other Accounts

If you used the same password elsewhere, change those passwords too.

Data Protection

Your data security:

  • Encryption: All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Storage: Encrypted at rest in secure databases
  • Access: Strict access controls and authentication
  • Backups: Regular encrypted backups
  • Compliance: Australian privacy standards

Account Recovery

Forgot Password

  1. Click "Forgot Password" on login page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check email for reset link
  4. Click link and create new password
  5. Log in with new password

Can't Access Email

Contact info@scripter.au with:

  • Your registered email address
  • Account details for verification
  • Alternative contact method
