Tips for Better Prescriptions
Pro Tip: Use guided entry for standard medications and freeform for complex cases. This keeps your prescriptions consistent and professional.
- Be specific: Include strength, form, and clear directions
- Use standard abbreviations: PO (by mouth), BID (twice daily), etc.
- Include weight: Helps with dosage verification
- Add clinical notes: Provides context for pharmacists and future reference
- Double-check: Review all details before marking as active
